About Me

Hi! I'm Daniel Zhang, a 2nd year Computer Science student at the University of Waterloo. As a dedicated software developer, I am passionate about using my coding skills to find innovative solutions to real-world problems.

I have a strong background in frontend, mobile app, and video game development. My skill set includes proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Python, C, and C++, as well as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I'm looking forward to exploring backend development and incorporating AI in my projects in the near future.

I'm currently working as a Software Developer for the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC). Previously, I worked as a System Support Officer for the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General. My main responsibilities involved deploying new software on client devices and troubleshooting hardware/software issues for 400+ OPGT employees across Ontario.

In my spare time, I enjoy running track, solving LeetCode problems, and modifying my Nerf blasters!
